Black Ops 7 will be the biggest shooter of the year 2025.

Call of Duty will be exploring uncharted territories with b07 bot lobby releases two Black Ops games in succession on November 14th, 2025. It will be the first time the series has ever done so.

Black Ops Seven has been revealed to have two primary goals. This was confirmed by Treyarch during exclusive interviews that we conducted in the last few weeks. Black Ops 7 aims to be both a love note to Black Ops 2 (the 2012 FPS many players regard as the pinnacle) and an expansion of Black Ops 6 (the 2024 shooter).

Black Ops 7 seeks to unite the past with the current to create a fresh future for Black Ops. GamesRadar+ Black Ops 7, the Big Preview, explores these topics and many more. We've got an exclusive cover that will give you unprecedented insight into Call of Duty 7. You'll learn how Treyarch was able to develop Black Ops 7 and Black Ops 6, while simultaneously developing Black Ops 6.

In addition, we dive deep into Black Ops 7’s multiplayer, zombies and campaign after visiting Call of Duty Next to test it out. This will provide you with brand new insight into how Black Ops’ return is affecting the next Warzone. The Big Preview of Black Ops 7 will be the most extensive, in-depth review of 2025's anticipated shooter.

mmoset Call of Duty Warzone 2

Call of Duty Warzone 2 os a game in the franchise unlike anything on this list. Even though it was released a couple of year ago, the game still feels current. Call of Duty takes on the genre in a way that is distinct from the free-toplay battle royales of Fortnite and the Apex Legends. It streamlines the loot-system, adds ingenious ways to rejoin fights in the Gulag, as well as slicing through the somewhat monotonous battle royale world with a dashing tac knife.

Warzone 2 dropped along with Modern Warfare 2 2022. This is a huge improvement, especially if you prefer a story-driven game. Call Of Duty: Warzone v2.0 Review: We called this game "a steady marche toward a more narrative-based Call of Duty".

Call of Duty Black Ops II

Treyarch experimented with different endings in the Black Ops series, and they did it well. The result was an excellent game (and it set the precedent for the sixth title to take a similar direction). The first and, to date, only time Call of Duty has used multiple endings in a good way is with Black Ops 2. Strike Force mission completion and meeting certain objectives in main levels can change the course of the story dramatically. This gives the player a deeper understanding and more reason to continue playing even after the credits have rolled.

Pick 10 has been a longer lasting – and much more significant – introduction to multiplayer. The system allows greater control of loadouts and gameplay, shaping the higher levels of customization that the series offers. The Call of Duty series is known for its innovative and creative games. While not all of these changes are adopted by the public, this game stands out as a strong example of Call of Duty. You can read more about the changes in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 in our review.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's sequel had some heavy shoes to fill. That it comes close to achieving this feat is testament to its superiority. The single-player version ups its spectacle without sacrificing pacing. Meanwhile, multiplayer offers the world's greatest tiny map: Rust.

Although there are minor blunders, such as No Russian mission and Tactical Nuke's killstreak in the campaign, it is still a top contender. There are some minor flaws, but it's hard for me to give them much attention when there are still so many memorable moments to look forward to, such as the famous gulag raid to save an important prisoner.

Call of Duty Black Ops Six

Black Ops usually has the most exciting campaigns. The games combine Mission Impossible's spy thriller action with trippy sequences, making you question the reality of the world. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a continuation of Call Of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War. However, it takes place in the 90s, during Gulf War. The story is based on real history and there are plenty references, but the main focus of this game is a conspiracy theory plot with non-linear stages, a thrilling crime, and genuine psychological terror.

Lastly, the multiplayer has never been better. The fast-paced, "omnimovement," gives you great control of slides and divings while avoiding the messier, jump-happy overcorrection of previous entries in the series. Read our Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 evaluation to find out why. The two Zombies levels at launch are full of secrets and there is never a dull moment. You can read more about it in our Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 preview, where we claimed that the game is "a true evolution of what this series has been"
